Charlotte asked me what she would be when she grew up.  I gave her a list of possibilities ranging from President to Zookeeper.  When I was done she thought for a moment and then said, "I like being a mommy best."  Of course when I say only 2 books at bedtime I'm told, "When I'm a mommy I won't say only 2."  Such the critic!

So my mother slipped down a few stairs over the weekend - just bounced down on her bottom, but said that she was a little sore.  Charlotte and I were watching Beauty and the Beast yesterday and at one point Gaston's henchman is menacing Lumier with a torch and Cogsworth slides down the bannister with a sword and gets him in the backside.  Charlotte ( Read more... )

Charlotte knows what lobsters are, but often doesn't come up with the word "lobster" when needed. The word she uses is similar, and yet totally different. At the doctors' office last week she pointed to the fish tank and said, "Look Mommy, there's a hamster in there!" i sincerely hoped not. :-)
